Buying a house- Ireland

Has anyone bought a house in Ireland recently? How involved are estate agents usually?

I’m dealing with a very annoying estate agent who keeps asking when the closing date on our house will be! I’m confused because she’s been calling and emailing non stop about it.

Our solicitors have given a closing date to the vendor’s solicitors so I’m confused as to why the estate agent needs to be made aware of it?

Is she just being nosy?

It's been a few years since I bought in Ireland. Generally if your solicitor isn't getting answers from the other side in a sale the advice is to get on to the estate agent to speed things up.

Most likely the vendors have asked the estate agent to make contact.
