Can you help me identify this paint colour?

I saved this screenshot from an online article some years ago - apologies I can’t link or give credits.

I love the pink/buff colour on the walls. Struggling to find a close match. F&B setting plaster is too light, dead salmon too dark. The Valspar colour match tool comes up a burnt orange (Copper Patina), which I don’t think this is.

Can any of you lovely experts help me? My room is north facing with little natural light.

Article says that the walls are a custom colour so you could always take the picture to be colour matched?

QuestionableMouse · 26/09/2022 23:16

This might be close?

There’s faded terracotta in F&B California collection which is similar

@Zampa thank you for linking the article. You’re a right wizard. 😁

All - thank you for all the suggestions, I will investigate them all.

Little Greene - 'light peach blossom' might be worth a look (pic from Pinterest - not my own!)

They'll all look different in your walks in your house, so it doesn't really matter what it was.

have fun testing!

or do what I did, get the whole house plastered then have an accident & be unable to do any painting or find a decorator who is available before 2055. 🙄🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️

the plaster colour has grown on me!

RNBrie · 26/09/2022 23:32

It's definitely not Ballerina Dance. We have that in dd3's room and it's pale pink, exactly the same colour as children's tutus.

NotMeNoNo · 26/09/2022 23:33

There used to be a lovely (in the 90s terracotta days) Farrow and Ball colour called Menagerie, it's in the Archive collection. Although it may be a bit dark?
I was desperate to use it in our old house at the time!

Justasec321 · 26/09/2022 23:33

We (with many reservations) put Setting Plaster or the north facing sitting room walls.

turns out to be excellent!

Yellownotblue · 26/09/2022 23:35

@TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination I’ve got painters/decorators booked as part of a big renovation project. Plastering started today, I need to stop dithering over colours soon!

Try Orchard Pink by Fired Earth or Inkwood by Sanderson. If Setting Plaster is too light then Inkwood could definitely be good. There’s also Fire Pink by Sanderson which is even deeper.

In N facing you want something with a yellowy undertone - so coral type pinks not blue based pinks - or it will look too cold. Agree the colour in the pic would be great.

Yellownotblue · 26/09/2022 23:38

I love setting plaster - just worried it will look too pale. I will get a sample pot.

Menagerie is also beautiful- such a richly, deep colour - but not quite the colour I’m looking for. I’d like a little more pink. DH is colourblind and sees pinks as greys, so that gives me some leeway 😁

@minipie , thank you for pointing me towards Sanderson Inkwood - gorgeous colour. Definitely making the short list.

@SilverLiningPlaybook the north facing room upstairs has brassica as an accent colour. I agree it’s lovely

Just to warn you the California collection samples are bits of card not pots

Is it this, it was part of Dulux’s colours of the year scheme in 2021 (2023 colours now released on their visualiser app)

Have you looked at Farrow and Ball Templeton Pink? It’s a new one out this week and they describe it on their Instagram as deeper/darker than setting plaster with brown undertones. Looks similar to your pic.

Dulux Heritage blossom? Might be too pink though?

Have you thought about mixing your own colour? I did this to match a colour in my tiles in my bathroom as I couldn't find the exact pink I wanted. I mixed sample pots together until I got it right then I painted an A4 sheet of paper and took it to Homebase and had it colour matched.
