Cost to remove asbestos single garage

I was just wondering how much people have paid/been quoted for the taking down and removal a single garage with asbestos roof? I was quoted over 2k, and wasn’t sure if it was quite a lot? I’m in Scotland.

I had my large single garage roof (asbestos) removed and replaced back in 2016 and that was £2000. But that was with a new roof to put in place so I’m not sure how that compares really.

We had quotes for dismantling and removal of our single garage with asbestos roof two years ago - one was just over £2k and the other £1.2k (inc VAT). That’s in the West Mids. Though I can imagine prices are higher now, as with everything else!

It's on the expensive side. I would get a few more quotes.

I paid £1.6k inc VAT for demolition and removal of a single garage plus disposal of some renovation rubbish last year. The “garage” was entirely made of corrugated metal sheets and asbestos panels though (thanks 1980s!). We are SE

Paid £2k last year to have single garage with asbestos removed, got three quotes, this was the middle price but were able to do it immediately.
