We have a strange situation with our kitchen sink draining away.
Usual set up of 1.5 sink & dishwasher all sharing the same under sink u bend plumbing.
Been in for a few years. No issues until now we have a drainer thingy to catch most of the crap that gets slung into the sinks.
After washing up it is taking ages to drain away. It also comes up out of the half sink plug hole
So , I've plunged it numerous times. Then I took off all of the plastic pipes under sink. No blockages. Still no difference.
We have tried a drain snake- not sure what the correct name is.
We cleared it from both ends ( under sink -& from external out pipe) not much gunk came out, but a fair amount of stagnant looking water.
I then flushed out under the sink pipes with the garden hose and that ran clear out to the drain outside.
Washed up today and the sink is taking ages to drain again!!
Any ideas what will be causing it?
