Removals damage - how to escalate?

Hi all, paid for house to be professionally packed and moved to removal company's storage in November and it was delivered to new house in June by same company.

I paid for insurance and dismantling furniture.

There were 3 items broken totalling about £500 and furniture was damaged - not so that it is unusable but knocked and scraped, which I feel wouldn't have happened had it been dismantled like I paid for.

Reported all damages in email with photos within 7 days as per guidelines, but took them 5 weeks to send someone out to assess the damage (luckily I hadn't thrown any of the broken items out!)

Despite multiple chasers, still no further on 6 weeks after they came to assess the damage. Have googled removals ombudsman, but it says can't help with damaged goods.

How else can I escalate this? Straight to the insurer? Threaten small claims?

Any ideas very welcome! Thanks!

They should have sent you the insurance forms to complete?

Could you write to the CEO? www.ceoemail.com/

Yes, I filled in the insurance forms and they did the inventory. But now getting no answers/it's so slow! So I know I'm covered, they're just not actioning it?

I will try to see if they have a ceo, though its a smaller local firm - I have asled for escalation process several times and have been ignored!
