Recently replaced our old knackered American Fridge Freezer with an integrated full height Fridge & duplicate Freezer. Looks great but we are seriously missing the ice dispenser! 4 DC, DH & I have ice in everything. Thought we’d get used to old school ice trays but I am sick of filling them & bashing the ice out already!!!

Are there any ice dispensers available that actually produce a decent amount of ice? We have water supply.

I did try to find an integrated freezer with ice dispenser externally to no avail

Not sure if this will suit you but a friend bought one of these and raved over it after their ice maker broke in their fridge.

I bought one in the summer and was a bit meh at first. Takes an hour to make 60 small cubes, but then I put them in a lidded Tupperware in the chest freezer. I actually quite like it. Mines sat on the chest freezer in the garage but my friends is on the counter in her huge kitchen. The cubes do stick together if you don’t drain excess water off and lid them.

Do you leave it plugged in 24/7? Once it’s made the ice cubes, do you have to wait another hour for more?

I can’t remember how much ice I used to get out of American fridge freezer, don’t remember it ever running out. Can someone please remind me if you have one & use it a lot?
