Would you go for furnished or unfurnished home rental ?

Just wanted some advice as we are relocating back to the UK after a long time with my 6 years old DD.

I can see that furnished home rentals are more scarce and more expensive by about £100 per month. That works out as £600 more expensive over short-term rental of 6 months. It seems more sensible to buy own basic furniture . But on the other hand need to think of future costs of transportation as well.

Any ideas would be appreciated !

Unfurnished every time.
I've done both and firstly, it's nice to have things to your taste.
Secondly, it's more stuff they can add to the inventory that you'll have to pay for if you damage.

We rented furnished when we first moved to the UK. After that it was unfurnished. Wouldn't ever rent a furnished again, tbh. Especially with DC.

We did furnished once as we had no choice and to be honest it was the worst thing with a young child. Trying to keep the house in one piece is one thing but also trying to peel my toddler away from the oil paintings and protecting the sofas was another thing. that was bloody stressful.
