What colour kitchen cabinets?

So, I'm going to start by saying that I love the strong dark colours. BUT, I am not sure the house we are moving into will be our forever home (wonderful house, don't like the location, moving because we need a different location to make all commutes to school work).

My question is, if you were putting in a new kitchen (to be built into a new kitchen extension), but you were thinking you might be moving in 5-8 years, what colour/style would you put in to a house with a lot of original 1920s features?

My heart says dark blue (or a green, but certainly a colour), but my head says the dark blue is going to go out of fashion reasonably quickly, so something a little more neutral would be better, OR get wood (if we can afford it) so that it can be re-painted easily.
I personally don't like stark white (my house is much too 'lived in' for anything that clinical and clean).

What would you go for (and pictures would be appreciated :)

Forest green. I have a dark blue/ navy kitchen so thinking of getting it sprayed green.

I’m going for f&b railings in mine, love strong dark colours.

I'd go for off white/wood kitchen and put the strong colour on the walls. Much easier to change.

@OxanaVorontsova Ooh I’d love to see this when it’s done as I’m thinking of this for my new kitchen (but won’t be until early next year)

Have just had installed a fairly dark grey kitchen.

In JL kitchen section its called Dust 🙄although I didn't get it from JL.

The house is 1920s, kitchen faces west, lots of light.

Love my navy kitchen

I’d get what you want. You have to live in it for the duration. If blue is going to put off buyers, just spray them

I have just ordered a new kitchen, I was going to order grey in the end I ordered sage.

I think you might have the right idea about getting a wooden kitchen because after 8 to 10 years it would possibly need attention anyway. We've got one that can be repainted and it's easy to touch up even if it gets a bit chipped.
