Light tumbled limestone floors + wine and kids. Would you or wouldn't you?

Almost finished a large extension including utility, downstairs shower room, kitchen and office/bedroom.
We've fallen in love with these beige limestone tiles but are worried about them staining. We are a house of wine and young kids! I know they can be sealed but do they still stain?
They're expensive so would you risk it? Has anyone got experience with similar please? Please tell me they don't stain 😊

We had them in our old house, and did seal them. We had small children and no problems with staining, although we didn’t chuck a glass of red wine on them to test it out 😂

I have a limestone fireplace (not sealed) and it stains very, very badly.

We have limestone, it's sealed so no stains and easy to clean

We almost did and are glad we didn't. My parents went for it and the staining is really back.

My friends cat was sick on theirs overnight and it kind of 'burnt' it, completely beyond repair.

If you decide to go for it, be aware there are different grades of stone. The large tile chains often use a lower grade that will have a lot of pits, they fill the pits with a filler, that can be prone to chipping.

Someone else's experience of vomit on limestone. Can can apply for other acidic things, like lemon juice.

Thanks everyone! We decided against limestone and went for a porcelain limestone effect tile which has been well tumbled and looks almost as good. DH is somewhat gutted but he would be running after us all with a mop constantly 🤣
