Any experience with Haysto?

Long story short - have an offer accepted on a house and am currently trying to secure a mortgage.
Had a decline by the only high street lender willing to offer the amount we needed due to “not meeting criteria” (?) but can’t get a bigger deposit together for a better LTV mortgage.

Had been told what we had was fine by brokers, turns out it is now not!

we are FTB, very new to this so maybe naively believed brokers?

we are now waiting on a call next week with Haysto who have explained that they believe they can get us a mortgage with a specialist lender but we had to pay them a holding fee first.
I am sceptical but as the money is refunded if they can’t, we agreed to pay.

they have gone off to research/make calls and we are expecting more news on Monday.

online reviews are great, they’ve been nothing but helpful. Does anyone have any experience of them here?

Hi did you use Haysto in the end and did they get you a mortgage?

Not the OP but we were in a similar position a couple of weeks ago. Contacted Haysto after having a recommendation & checking online reviews but we’re still sceptical. We gave all the information & had a DIP agreed within a couple of days after being reviewed by an underwriter. Valuation on property organised within a week & full mortgage offer 2 days later. The rate is also lower than the high street broker was looking at although we had to fix for 5 years. Honestly couldn’t fault them. The communication has been excellent throughout & the whole process took about 2 weeks. The £1600 total fee was well worth it for us. You don’t pay the balance until you have an offer you’re happy with.
