Cavity wall insulation cost

Anyone had this done recently?
Am in NW England.
4 bed detached - normal sized

Just had a quote 7k! Will get other quotes, just interested in any opinions?

Are there not grants available?
When we had our old house done the majority of the cost was covered (private house, not in receipt of any benefits etc).

I have heard of the grants but thought we wouldn't be entitled, will check though.

We never seem to be eligible for the grants but would like this done, if anyone can recommend a company!

@MrsMAC1234 or anyone else - has anyone gone ahead & got the insulation?

We're in NI & were quoted £2k ish - we're always just above the threshold for any grants. We have some cavity insulation but they rec'd top up with the silver balls. I'm hoping it will help house feel a bit warmer & stop mould on cold corners on the North side of the house. Haven't yet but the bullet & hopeful for positive anecdotes before shelling out more money!
