Have a look at this house, which some lucky person has actually bought.

It has wall mounted fish tanks amongst other things.

For that price, it will make a great rental investment.

MoistBandana · 31/08/2022 21:47

That's been an HMo.

I bet the poor buggers living there have had to pay through the nose for the honour of having a bed and shit house to use.

I hate HMOs like that. It's a house designed for a family, not 4 different people all paying £700 a month for one room to a greedy scumlord.

Ship · 31/08/2022 21:48

And a mirror on the ceiling and a disco ball

NewYorkLassie · 31/08/2022 21:48

Amazing for someone who suffers with epic hangovers, or morning sickness.

Nothingbuttheglory · 31/08/2022 21:49

Ceiling mirrors <vom>

UserError012345 · 31/08/2022 21:50

What's a HMo?

abovedecknotbelow · 31/08/2022 21:52

House of multiple occupation, they all get a ton each, having your own toilet is probably a good thing. I can't see it's been removed.

dalmatianmad · 31/08/2022 21:54

How do they do a water change on the fish tank?

Tisforptarmigan · 31/08/2022 21:54

Feel bad now. Could not see past the loo beside the bed.

Definitely an HMO owned by a very unscrupulous landlord.
Poor tenants. Wouldn't be surprised if there was some human trafficking involved with the people who lived there.

CiderJolly · 31/08/2022 22:00

@ISeeTheLight
Exactly my thoughts too.

MoistBandana · 31/08/2022 22:02

4 beds I counted. Plus the sofa looks likes been a bed, maybe a fold out.

So 4 lots of 600 minimum. 2.4k a month for the landlord and leave em to live in that 'charming' property.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 31/08/2022 22:05

Yes, that is a house of very multiple occupancy, for people on a very limited budget. To their credit, they are living in an orderly manner and have not lost their sense of fun!

Sunnysal · 31/08/2022 22:07

Surprised it hadn't caught fire with all those plugs in the extension.

RooRem2 · 31/08/2022 22:17

This is around the corner from me😳😂

IncessantNameChanger · 31/08/2022 22:20

Bedroom in a hmo bathroom. How utterly bleak.

AssumingDirectControl · 01/09/2022 12:58

Yes and I wonder if it’s actually licensed as an HMO, I bet it’s not.

I had a wall mounted fish tank once 😂 disguised as a picture, my ex’s idea. It wasn’t that tricky to clean really, just had to stand on a chair…

Fairylightsongs · 01/09/2022 13:00

Just a standard low end hmo. 🤷🏻‍♀️

TokyoSushi · 01/09/2022 13:06

Ah this is really quite sad, imagine being in the situation that you had to live there...
