Neighbour is dazzling us

Our neighbour is having a side return extension. We were on holiday when they had velux windows put it. The roof has to be a steep angle than planned, but for most of the afternoon the light bounces off these new windows and dazzles our landing it is so bright.
anyone know if this is likely to be a film on them making it worse at the moment until the tiles are fitted? I know it might sound petty, but it is really at totally the worst angle for pointing light back at us. Is this the new UV reflecting glass? Will it get better? We already have blinds up but this comes through the blinds and into my office. I can’t use black out blinds during the day. Any advice/experience welcome

I would go to the neighbours first and enquire about them explain what they are causing you (not typically condoned but record the conversation) then if it appears to be not above board seek legal advice.

How does light come through blinds if they are closed ? We have blinds too and they do a great job of keeping the sun out.

The angle of the sun changes throughout the year so hopefully as it drops lower in the sky in the autumn it will help.

As they get a bit less new and a bit dusty surely they'll bounce off less light?
