Colour scheme help

What colour should we paint our fireplace if we are having a burnt orange sofa.

Have fallen in love with the sofa but the fireplace needs to be painted and Im struggling to choose a colour.

The room has all white walls at present. There are dark brown wood look tiles and loads of natural light.

A rich dark green or navy to cosy it up? Or just keep it neutral and make the sofa the star of the show.

You don't say what style of fireplace OP, or what it's made of? Dark green sounds nice, especially if it's a F&B or Paint & Paper library colour. I was also thinking of a very neutral soft mushroom, a mineral mushroom.

A half-deep, slightly dirty olive green could look nice.

Royal blue. Directly opposite the orange on the colour wheel.
