Wall colour help/ideas

We have renovated a derelict property and opened it up to make a kitchen/lounge area. We have black, aluminium windows and bifolds. Neutral floor tiles in an off white/beige soft cloudy pattern. Kitchen cabinets are off white/cream colour, royal blue aga and work top colour to work out.

What wall colours? Painters say that leaving them white is common now, but I assumed this might look clinical, and some warmth would be needed. Maybe not magnolia, but a similar- non white colour?

Any thoughts of ceilings and walls in white will be too stark once furniture is in place?

Ooo I love f&b ammonite in a room with a lot of natural light like that - it's a grey ish neutral, in my mums house it looks really like a light neutral beige ish colour with not too much grey and I love it. Or slipper satin / dimity / skimming stone? All light enough to be neutral imo but warmer than a bright white.

I’d consider a soft denim blue. Would work well with white cupboards and neutral floors.
