Garden summer house

Not sure if this is the right place to post. Basically I am thinking about putting a summer house in the garden to use as a utility room for tumble dryer and washing machine and to also have my office in.

Has anyone done this? Would it be easy to connect water and electricity?

All advice welcome really

No it’s not easy to get water and drainage. There are requirements that must be met regarding drainage. You will need water laid on. How are you heating it and insulating it? Electricity is easier. Often it’s easier to add this to the house or existing garage.

I don't think it's that hard. We dug a trench across the garden for an armoured electric cable and a water pipe. There's a depth you have to reach. This was to get water and electric to the garage.

Drainage would be more difficult. But you could run a pipe to a nearby drain if you have one. You'd have to think about lagging the pipe in winter.
