We are currently considering putting in an offer for a property but in one of the bedrooms which is painted bright blue there is strange white marks on the walls. Does anyone have any idea what they can be. Worried it may be signs of damp/mould although would have thought that would have been black marks. Many thanks in advance

Ask the EA to ask the vendor. Did it smell damp?

Then get a decent survey and specifically ask the surveyor to report on this

Mould does not always mean you shouldn't progress - depends on the reason for the mould.

Could they be where stickers have been pulled off the wall? That pulled paint off on the walls we've just pulled stickers off, so I'd imagine on a darkush paint, it could well show the white layer below.
