Children's climbing frame

Hi, we are looking a purchasing a big children's climbing frame, the type that has a tower, swings, slide, rope bridge, fireman's pole etc. The cost is obviously significant which I expected, but I didn't expect the £750 installation charge.

Has anyone bought one of these and installed themselves? My DH is fairly handy with a drill but I'm scared it's too big of a project.

I imagine it has to do with the footings and the European standard that needs to be followed. Is your installer au fait with these?

We had one and paid for installation. It was done over two days. On the first day the man put together the larger parts and checked were we wanted it erected and which way we wanted everything facing. Then, on day two everything was put together and installed. It looks great and we feel better for knowing that it has been done by someone who knows what they are doing & it avoided any arguments between me & my husband as we have completely different approaches to things. Our installation wasn't that much, a little less I think and we have a quite big set with 3 swings, climbing wall, bridge, slide & monkey bars. Thank you both.

We decided to get them to install it, and they'll do it in 1 day. It's the lower stress option!
