Wall colour to complement navy kitchen with white surface

I really struggle to visualise rooms colour wise pre painting so thought I’d ask what colour walls you’d go for with a navy kitchen with white quartz surface. There isn’t a huge amount of wall as there’s a big window, 3 doors (entrance/utility/cupboard) plus large opening through to the dining room. The hall is dulux rock salt so I was thinking it could be the same but wondering if we need a shade of white instead… but which one? I don’t want to clash with the white quartz.

if anyone has a shade plus photo I’d be really grateful but any advice is appreciated.

Probably an unpopular suggestion but pale pink.

I think yellow would look lovely, but then I like a bit of warmth and colour

@Plump82 not a chance dh will go for that - I did suggest a pink backsplash but was out voted by 3 dc and dh.

I'd go with orange. It's opposite navy on the colour wheel and would be really striking. I've got an orange glass wall in my kitchen and I love it.

I've got the same as you and went with v pale pink. Looks fab.

Farrow & Ball Cook's Blue.

I agree with @knightsinwhitesatin my first thought was yellow but sage or lime green would be good as well.
Pale pink doesn’t feel warm enough in the kitchen for me but it’s just my opinion, I love green colours.

Ideal Home article here with many photos.

We have this combination with oak effect karndean floors. We went for chiffon white which has a slightly blue grey tone. This works well with the navy and is distinctive enough against the quartz.

Pink, but earthy rather than sugary

CaptainCallisto · 31/07/2022 14:25

We've got a heather purple on our walls. Looks great against the navy and white.

Omg I hear choirs of angels - excellent suggestion. Especially if it's a mineral pink & very very pale

Definitely not yellow or green Envy
