Moving to winchester

My husband and I are looking to move to Winchester area. We have had a look at a couple of houses and we have come to realise we would like to be near the town but are prepared to go a little out to be able to get off road parking. Our budget is up to £550,00 and we would ideally like 3 bed.
One of the houses we have seen that we really liked was on Badger farm. However, moving from Oxford means we have been very used to getting on a bike and cycle to our nearest restaurant very easily and even though badger farm has this option is seems incredibly hilly.
Ultimately our question is, is badger farm area worth going for? Is it easy to get into town or qpuld you recommend somewhere else?

Thanks in advanced

Nope, nowhere nice to eat is close cyclable - its quite hilly and not a short or indeed nice ride into town. I can’t imagine cycling into town for a meal and then cycling back to Badger Farm, unless you really, really liked cycling. Very convenient for the big Sainsburys but not much else.

Kings Worthy might be better. More bang for your buck but cycling is reducing your options.,
