The new neighbours at the end of my garden are absolutely minted, they're putting a 200k extention on the back of the house as well as a total refurb. I've watched month-on-month as it's progressed. I don't mind the noise and actually find the changes entertaining. This huge behemoth looks very architectural - a weeny bit like the Chesil Beach house that was being discussed here recently. So I assumed the only colour they'd consider painting it was white. But nooooo, the paint tins came out today and it's battleship grey. Oceans of it. Obviously, this is lighthearted, they can have any colour they want. I just thought the craze for grey had ended. Or am I wrong?
