Tiling over tiles in bathroom

Trying to save money, time and trouble and wonder how feasible it is to tile over the existing wall tiles in the bathroom. Would get a profession in.

Removing the existing ones would be a challenge. We'd no doubt damage the walls and would need a plasterer to address the damage we'd do to the walls. Although would have been happy with tiles just around the bath and basin areas.

Also is it possible / wise to lay vinyl over floor tiles. Imagine some magic screed would need to be put over them first.

Anyone have any experience of this?

You could paint them

Yes I've done it for this reason. It was fine. 20 years later they are still there...recently saw my old flat for sale so had a nosey!!

Yes I did this. I had a very short window to do the bathroom.
Worked fine.
