Log cabin base quote?

How much would you expect to pay for a 4.5 x 3.8m base to be installed? (Think slabs, not a concrete pour.) I've been quoted nearly £2000 and that's a 1/3 of the cost of the cabin itself - it feels like a lot, but I'm no expert - does anyone on here have any idea if I'm being unrealistic in hoping it wouldn't be so expensive?

I'd say that was pretty fair tbh. It will need to be dug in, sand/grit, levelled, slabbed and pointed. Not just a case of bunging slabs down.

For context we had a concrete base put in for a static caravan with water/electric feeds. That was 10k

Thank you for the rapid response! I'm glad I asked for an opinion. I've never had a base installed before and didn't know what to expect price wise.

We had a (poured) concrete slab laid in May ‘21, 4mtr x 3mtr, £1100 inc vat. Concrete is much more expensive now, we had a quote for 2mtr x 2mtr, same supplier, quoted nearly as much! But having the right base is so important, if it’s wonky, the doors and windows won’t shut properly, I would have a concrete base rather than paving stones.

Thank you @Roselilly36 I guess everything has gone up so much.
