Cost of sliding doors

Do they cost a lot more than bifolds? How much did you pay for sliding doors? We need 4.5m wide. With bifolds, everyone says to look at it as approx £1k per metre, and this was about right when we put them in our last extension. But I just got one quote back for sliding doors and it was £10k for 4.5 metres!

Sounds about right, sorry!

Ours was about that.
4.5m meter, double sliding ie two doors in middle open either way. Oak inside, black aluminium outside

Ours was about that, though it was for bespoke size slimline doors i.e. 20mm divides, with a flush threshold. I wouldn't pay that much for standard sizing or normal frames (we're in London)

How did you get on with this? We're in a similar situation too?
