Feeling overwhelmed

Hi,
My husband and I have 3 children aged five and under. We currently live in South Yorkshire but are desperate to get them out. We have a budget of £300k and want 4 bedrooms, 3 reception (or two and a big conservatory for a playroom), a garden and off street parking. We need to stay within 1.5 hour drive from Sheffield.
Where would you go if you were us?
We’ve looked so far
Buxton, Beverley and Matlock - house prices have jumped and we’ve been priced out
Driffield -hardly anything up for sale ATM
Lincoln- I have an “off” feeling about it after going to uni there (I only know the dive bars etc.)

Whereabouts are you, more or less? And why are you desperate to move?

We’re in South Yorkshire and we really don’t want to be.
We have some pretty villages nearby but all the town/ city centres Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster are all just not very nice.

i meant as in whereabouts in South Yorkshire? And what do you aspire to area-wise? Are you wanting something more rural?

Because I can suggest areas where you can get that kind of house for your money but I have a feeling they might not be the kind of areas you want. If all of South Yorkshire is out - and there are nice bits - then I’d look at areas like North Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.
