Never seen a house like it

As the title, I have never seen a house like this before.
Think it might be a bit marmite, I am in the, it wouldn't be for me camp.

As an aside, what on earth is standing inside the front door?!

House here

Musmerian · 24/07/2022 11:39

Horrible inside and out.

ColinRobinsonsfamiliar · 24/07/2022 11:42

If IKEA made houses…

RJnomore1 · 24/07/2022 11:42

I like the inside but not the outside. A zip of colour would improve it but it’s meant to be bland do you can visualise your stuff in it.

and it’s surely a cock and balls?

TrianglePlayer · 24/07/2022 11:48

Look at that EPC rating though!

fluffyducky21 · 24/07/2022 11:50

Don't like the outside of it. Looks like a cowshed.

TwoMonthsOff · 24/07/2022 11:51

I’m guessing A ?

ElsieMc · 24/07/2022 11:52

We have one close to us. It is single storey giving the impression of a large static caravan but in black or an agricultural building. It is unbelievably ugly. I thought it was because I was old but my gs's have all said basically wtf and how the hell. It also has a silver caravan/trailer parked by it. I think they want to do holiday let, but they have complained about someone wanting to do similar which might make things difficult lol.

I like the inside on this. A bit lacking in warmth but easily sorted.

It's not just you, OP. I can only see one thing too

I see a penis with a baggy condom draped over it 👀

I also see a penis erect and stood up on its balls by the front door, like there’s maybe a hole in the top for umbrellas? 😬

easyday · 24/07/2022 11:58

Looks like it's supposed to resemble a converted barn - some have black aluminium siding. Inside looks as bland as possible and don't like the huge expanse of windowless back siding at the back.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 24/07/2022 12:01

I actually don't mind the outside at all, though I appear to be in the minority. The tiny windows would be a deal breaker for me though. I can't see how it doesn't feel very dark inside.

eekyeeky · 24/07/2022 12:03

Not for me, not enough widows & they are small plus no character

Hobele · 24/07/2022 12:03

No problem with people starting to use different materials and construction methods if it is in pursuit of economy/ sustainability or whatever.

I would want bigger windows.

And am not really impressed with the downstairs layout. The use of a huge slice of the downstairs footprint for a garage means there isn’t much downstairs space or flex for a 4 bed house. One big open reception / dining space means kids have to watch tv or do homework etc shut in bedrooms.

The decor is generic new house developer trying to look trendy hotel-chic: boring. But that’s easily addressed.

The house: Just a matter of taste.

Finally someone comments on the actual house not the taste of the owners re interior.

No only mid B with potential of A but round here we never see above C.

DisforDarkChocolate · 24/07/2022 12:05

I'd be investing in a fuck load of paint but I actually like it a lot.

Bellyups · 24/07/2022 12:05

It’s really not that unusual.

eekyeeky · 24/07/2022 12:06

I don't mind the outside/new materials but the windows aren't proportionate. The ones in the master bedroom look a funny height

eekyeeky · 24/07/2022 12:07

love the garden brick wall though

watcherintherye · 24/07/2022 12:07

Innovative. Well, that’s one way of putting it! Grin
Not my cup of tea.

PegasusReturns · 24/07/2022 12:11

I don’t mind the external look although you’d want more outdoor space and be less close to your neighbours.

The inside is hideous, cheap generic and done out like a suburban semi.

LookItsMeAgain · 24/07/2022 12:27

More importantly - what are those bears doing on the bed???? 😳😳

LookItsMeAgain · 24/07/2022 12:28

NiceTwin · 24/07/2022 11:22

This thing??

It's very clearly a cock-doorstop. Why? Don't you have one too???

NiceTwin · 24/07/2022 12:32

Bellyups · 24/07/2022 12:05

It’s really not that unusual.

What part of the country are you, where there are multiple houses like this?

OP posts:
uggmum · 24/07/2022 12:33

I really love it.

I would add a bit of colour but I love the design and the external look of it.

ferneytorro · 24/07/2022 12:33

I find the 4 hats artfully placed on the coat rack much more offensive - especially when one of the rooms has a clothes rail in it that looks a right mess.

Sally090807 · 24/07/2022 12:34

We have a farm shop that’s opened nearby and it looks very similar to that house. For the price I’d say that’s not a bad buy.
