Plumbing advice needed please

Hello,

I’m fitting my own kitchen- I’ve never attempted plumbing before.

I’ve got the cold & hot water feeds running low behind the run of base units which includes sink, washing machine and dishwasher.

Washing machine plumbed in already, dishwasher is to the left of this with a 50mm cabinet between them (I understand this is to provide support for worktop). They’re integrated appliances. IKEA.

I know the dishwasher needs a cold feed (I think!) but what connections do I need to do this and how?

I know it needs a waste outlet- can this be the current outlet used for the washing machine and if so how and what do I buy? Or does it need its own outlet? If I have to drill another hole through wall, how high?

Also sink will need connecting too but may focus on the dishwasher next.

Advice much appreciated!

You can get y shaped sections to add an inlet to the cold fill, assuming close by. https://www.screwfix.com/p/washing-machine-y-piece-/81000?tc=WA6&dskid=92700055281954514&dssrl=1249404&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuO6WBhDLARIsAIdeyDLsZ2xctMrbCXbvt0qd2FbHpWQn1hfJavGn0aYxz3hVQp14Qfv4Ih4aAp21EALwwcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Likewise a section of extra pipe into the waste outlet.

You want a u bend on the dishwasher and washing machine waste to prevent smells coming back into the kitchen. So I would cut the tall black waste pipe, add one in low down and then put the tall bit back in. Unless there is one below the floor? Also that electrical socket is a bit risky if there is a water leak. Not sure if there are rules about sockets but I would see if it could be moved higher up or into a cabinet where it won't get splashed.

Thanks both- any more advice as to process start to end and what parts are called would be great.

The socket is about a foot at least from the floor- it’s just the angle- isolator socket above worktop.

I can't tell which way is up, but that black waste pipe looks like it goes vertically into the floor. presumably it joints to a waste pipe, perhaps from the kitchen sink. he diameter looks rather small. Can you measure it, is it 40mm?

Yes, it needs a trap on it. Waste standpipes for washing machines usually look like this

www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-standpipe-appliance-trap-white-40mm/94360#_=p

It is posible to fit an adaptor on the top to take two appliance hoses

Or you could attach it to the sink waste if nearby. Post a photo please

Also a photo of the washing machine supply pipe and tap.
