We are FTB and finally had an offer accepted on a house two months ago in mid-April. The vendor found somewhere very quickly, and there are now two people above our vendor in the chain. Whoever is top of the chain is viewing more properties this weekend. I’m anxious about this chain getting even longer and it taking even longer, I feel like we’ve been waiting forever already. I just hope people top of chain are buying something chain-free or this chain will go on forever…. Our mortgage offer is valid until November but that’s only 4.5 months away which doesn’t feel very long! I’ve bought property when I was younger and remember the conveyancing stage taking ages and we aren’t even there yet… I just fancied a whinge on here and I bet I am not alone!
