Bifolds- same tile outdoors or different?

Currently renovating and will have a patio outside the bifolds, with a small sill in between- but the exact floor height as inside. Would you keep the same colour/size of tile on the patio for a seamless look, or change it for a contrasting one?

We have the same tiles from the front door, through the kitchen and beyond the bifolds. Looks great when the bifold are open

Same tiles, without question - will tie the two areas together and make the space look bigger too.

I thought the same (indoor and their outdoor version of the same tile) would provide a seamless, inside/out look. We are specifically making the patio the exact same height- to get this look.

Our builder thinks it too modern for the house. It was derelict, so needed complete stripping out- but there is little of the original, old features, that we could keep.

Just interested why someone WOULD choose a different colour/pattern outside, when its not been added on later?
