I have a cantilevered bay window in the kitchen, which looks lovely but is completely impractical for anyone under 6ft as the work surface/sink prevent access.
We are going to replace the kitchen and I would like to remove the work surface next to the window and build out to the size of the window, by building a supporting wall under the window, iie instead of a shelf with cantilever just have space for coffee table and stools.
Has anyone done this? Any pitfalls?
