Banister replacement cost

Hello, has anyone had their old banister took out and replaced and can give me an idea of cost? It would be to take out the old banister, newels and spindles and replace them and also to add a handrail.

Mine was replaced back in 2019 and was about £1000 including labour. I think the materials were about £650 ish and that included newels, spindles and bannister for two sections, one going up the stairs and one across the landing.

Ours was 1000 in 2019 too..we kept newel posts to keep costs down.

It’s for a handrail down the stairs, the banister is just for the landing but it’s about 2M long so not tiny. It will be banister, newels and spindles.
