Leaking sink tap

Hello, I’m hoping someone whose good at DIY can help me as I can’t really afford a plumber. I’ve got a dripping tap. It’s a mixer tap but it’s the cold water side that’s leaking. We’ve only had it two years so very annoying that it’s broken. I’ve included a picture where you can see that there’s a bit of a gap between the tap and the handle, and it’s wobbly. I turned off the water and took a bolt thing out the back of the handle thinking I could take the handle off and maybe put it back on again tighter or something but the handle wouldn’t come off. So I put the bolt back in and really tightened it up but it’s made no difference.
Thanks anyone that can give any advice.
