New build and no post

I bought a new build 2 weeks ago on a still active building site. 4 homes have moved in so far. I've registered the post code with Royal Mail and now it shows up on all the drop down menus.

But I've not had any post yet. I've sent a couple of things to myself as a test and today I was expecting my internet router. When I checked the tracking information it said incorrect address and returned to sender.

How can I make the postie aware that my house exists?

Raise it as a complaint with Royal Mail?

Call in to the local delivery office and have a chat with them, they were really helpful when we had similar problems both with a new build house and taking over a commercial building.

Is there a site office for your build? We had to raise it with the 'girls in the office' for them to make the address live.

You probably need to check with RM that the address is live on their system. Go to a delivery office though, because RM are utterly hopeless via email and phone.

Thanks. I'll pop into the delivery office. Great idea. Have also emailed the site office so hopefully I'll be up and running soon.
