I guess it depends on your circumstances. For me, as a first time buyer who had scraped together a deposit and really couldn’t afford to lose any of my savings if something went wrong, it was a lifesaver when my seller pulled out the day before exchange.

Just to note, as I don’t know your situation, you usually need to take out this insurance within 7 days of having an offer accepted / instructing a solicitor.
