Prop 65 cancer warning labels

I’m in the UK and I just received a camping chair that I ordered online and it had a Californian prop 65 warning label on it saying that some of the chemicals used in the chair are known to potentially cause cancer and other serious health problems. I’ve never seen a label like this before so emailed the manufacturer and am waiting for a reply. Are these labels commonplace on certain items? I’m just baffled by how such a scaremongering label can be used without a specific explanation of what the chemicals are that might harm you and how much of it was used in the manufacturing of the product. Has anyone else here come across these labels and what have they done with the product. Many thanks.

Those labels are a government mandate in California only as far as I'm aware. I first saw them when entering Disneyland in Anaheim and wasn't too concerned. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Many thanks, that’s helpful info. Not too concerned just weird seeing it on garden furniture.

Probably made with petroleum products (isn't everything)
Prop 65 stickers are all over the place in California.
