Hi all, we have just demolished a single garage at the back of our house, (accessed via an access road behind our row of houses) and are weighing up two options of replacing with either a double garage stretching across the whole back garden, or putting gates across the rear access and having a larger garden but off road parking available in the space. Both options still mean our house comes with parking, but would one of these add more value than the other, does anyone have any idea?? Our original plan was to replace single with double so it was actually usable for parking, but then the builder suggested the gates and off road parking after demolishing the original garage which has now put us in two minds because the garden looks so much bigger now haha, and it would extend the amount of time we get sunlight out there in the evenings.
