I cannot find an answer to this anywhere! Getting a velux put into my new roof. The ideal place for it to go would be where the roof purlin is. Can it go in front of it? I know you can get purlins cut or moved, but I don't want to do that. Obviously the purlin will block some of the window, but I'd make sure it didn't affect it opening.
Has anyone done or heard of this?
If I put the velux above the purlin, it's too high for me to see out of, but if it goes below then it's just a bit low. The ideal placement would be across the middle of the purlin.
