What colour front door?

House is a Victorian worker's cottage. Red brick, slate roof. Windows are a light grey. Current front door is yellow, need a new front door and don't feel like the yellow goes with the windows too well.

The red brick makes me feel like it's hard to choose much other than the likes of navy/black/grey...any suggestions? Am a fan of F&B if anyone has any specific colours to recommend!

I always like green doors m with red brick.

Yellow sounds amazing, yellow looks great with grey! We have a red door with our Victorian red brick, but also love the other suggestions. I love sage, but doesn't seem very Victorian, not that it matters.

Can you post a pic? Also, which way is front of house facing as has a bearing on what colours look good

Hague Blue is a deep blue-grey. It might complement the slate roof and window frames

I think the sage green looks well with red brick & will look well with light grey - Just one opinion - or a grey / blue would look nice. That said a neighbour has a very dark blue with red brick & that also looks very smart

I like the sage green or if you want a richer colour what about British racing green?

I like sage with red brick, black also looks good, turquoise can work too. Thick red brick is harder to match to funkier colours

My yellow is Sudbury Yellow. Which looks dark but in real life doesn't look so dark. House faces east. We actually have a porch which does not match the main red brick well. It's pretty ugly. But still 'red'.

Will attach a zoomed in photo of my actual house. You can see how light the grey on the windows is from the door frame (and compared to white fascia!) . I just don't feel the grey and yellow compliment each other...

I think a sage green would look fab with the cream windows.

She hasn't got cream windows. She's got light grey.
