Boundary wall agreement

My neighbour didn't get one of these when they did some work on the other side of our house when the previous owner lived here. We have issues with that part of our house. What comeback do we have?

Work was done in about 2005/2006

I think you would have needed to stop work at the time and insist on a party wall agreement and survey at the time? Maybe speak with your buildings insurance company.

This was when the previous owners were here. The work they have done has ended up causing long term damage to our house. What is a boundary wall agreement normally for?

Your buildings insurance company will advise you.

Also, does your surveyor say anything in the report from when you were buying the house?

No he was an idiot and the survey wasn't worth the cost of the paper it was written on.

We are about to have buildings control out for work to start on a different issue so I may get them to take a look and ask them
