Remortgaging and valuation

Hi all. I was wondering if you remortgage will they look inside the house to value it or do they do drive by. I know if I sold the house lots would be knocked off for new kitchen, bathroom and boiler old. Thanks.

Depends on the bank and what they tell the surveyor to do.

I think it depends on various factors and the bank's policy. We remortgaged twice in the past year and didn't need a valuation

Depends on the bank. Last time I did it was literally a letter from HSBC prompting me to fill in an online form which I did and that was that
