Plumbing help!

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me with a plumbing problem. We’ve recently moved our kitchen and turned the old kitchen in to a room that doesn’t need a water supply, but that backs on to the garden. I had the smart idea of routing the old kitchen sink supply outside so we could have hot and cold in the garden. I found an outdoor mixer tap (www.arleymosssupplies.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2712)and have disconnected the old taps etc.

I have done bits of plumbing before but always replacing like for like. I was thinking I could just attach flexible tap connectors to the existing feeds (which have isolator valves on already) then attach to the tap inlet pipes, however, a closer look reveals that the thread from the tap is 22mm which means standard basin connectors won’t work and bath connectors will be too wide the other way. Having looked at it the old valves are a bit leaky and would benefit from replacement anyway so I’m wondering if swapping these could work? But I’ve got hopelessly confused with metric and imperial measurements, threads and pipe diameters and am now wondering if I’m completely out of my depth! (Though getting a plumber to do such a small job would be impossible at the moment around here). Anyone any ideas?!
