Rubber roof on garage- anyone have one?

The guttering and fascia on my garage roof badly need replacing. I was speaking to a tradesman who said the roof might also need replacing and he recommended a rubber roof in that eventuality. I’d never heard of that so it would be great to get opinions from those who have one. Thanks in advance.

I've had one for about ten years with no problems. You just have to be careful if walking on it not to pierce it with anything sharp. I'm told it should last at least thirty years.

They are very easy to install which is probably why he recommended it. Jury is still out on how long they last, but personally I'd go for something more traditional. IME anything made of rubber degrades quite quickly in the sun & I can't see them lasting as long as more regular alternatives.
