Which colour front door/garage door?

We have mahogany UPVC windows and guttering

Front door, electric garage doors, side garden gate are also mahogany. I hate mahogany but we can’t afford to change it all. Thinking of painting the front door, garage doors and side garden to add a bit of colour. What colours would you suggest that go with mahogany?

Problem colours are:

White (needs frequent washing)

Red (fades in sunlight)

Black (overheats in sun)

Frames and doors can be different colours if you like

Oiled or varnished wood needs extra preparation.

I too have mahogany windows and brown guttering. My front door is red and garage door is a light sandy colour. Sage green is quite popular atm and that would go nicely with mahogany imo.

you don’t have to live with the mahogany windows. UPVC can be easily painted with Zinsser (alclad?) paint.

I painted a UPVC conservatory 5 years ago and it is still looking good. I also did the gutters and downpipes too.

No rubbing down just ensure the surface is clean - then paint.

I had new windows to replace my 'mahogany' UPVC windows except one window which will be bricked up in time. I painted that window frame and my garage door (also 'mahogany') in Johnstones oil based satin paint colour matched to my new windows. I will PM you a photo.

I have thought about repainting all the windows and doors myself but it is a very big job as we have alot of windows! Plus I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing the upper floor windows.
