Hi all
I just wondered if anyone had experience living in these areas and what you think of them.

single, childfree, live very quietly. A local community - people you can go down t'pub with - is a bonus. So schools aren't a factor for me.

thank you.

Woolwich is a town of two halves still. Lovely flats and pubs/cafes on the royal Arsenal development but still crap across the main road. However there are big regeneration plans, new leisure centre and cinema etc so on the up I'd say and the connections are good with the new Elizabeth Line. Nice to be on the river too and only a short bus ride to Greenwich.

If considering Woolwich you may wish to look at Plumstead Common given close proximity and same postcode. Quieter and greener than Woolwich. It is improving and room for growth. Landlords are selling up and young families moving in.

Hi all! Anyone here actually living (or has lived) in Woolwich Arsenal?

My husband and I are currently living in Canary Wharf but are looking at other areas as we want more space (while maintaining connectivity, walking distance to cafes/ supermarkets). We are expecting our first baby in July.

We went to Woolwich Arsenal yesterday and were impressed by what we saw- it seems that it would be a great place to move to with a new born. I am curious about people's experience living there; also would like to know if is easy to meet other people in the community/ if there are some active group's, etc.

Thanks!

Ana

@ANJ25, the Facebook group, Plumstead People advertises all sorts of groups and I'm sure there will be social groups for the Royal Arsenal Development itself.
