Garage conversion - how much?

Just that, really?
Semi-detached property. A garage conversion into a playroom with downstairs toilet.

Just looking for ballpark figures as guess it’s pretty common.

Very standard garage to office room, I paid £8k in 2021.

£10k for the room, £5k for the bathroom is what I've been quoted

Ours cost about £10k including large window and electricity. We didn't have a bathroom put in though.

It's been such a great decision and made the house feel a lot bigger.

Certainly seems to be in the range we anticipated.

We have a builder coming round on Friday to give us a ballpark figure.

Yes, I agree that it was a great decision! It really made the house work much better for us. In terms on building work it's pretty low impact too, as the builder worked through the garage until it was time to knock through. Minimal mess and fuss!

I spoke to a builder a couple of weeks ago and he had just done a garage extension for someone for £22,500. No bathroom included. It's worth ringing a couple of local builders to ask, as it might vary by area. I did this and they were happy to give a rough quote even though we haven't moved in yet. Prices have gone up loads in the last year for building work so what other people paid will only really be a useful guide if they did it in 2022

Sorry, just saw you are already getting a quote
