What are the final stages of house buying?

First time buyer here!
Had an offer accepted in April, we’re a chain of 2 - my seller is moving into a new build which will be ready July 1st.

Our mortgages have been agreed,
The searches have been done (I haven’t seen a report though - am I supposed to?)
The survey has been done and I got the report today - all great!

So, what happens next? Are there any more potential pitfalls / hold ups or can I start to feel excited?!

What do you think are the chances we could be moving in July?

You can't start to feel it might be yours until you have exchanged and that can be a nightmare.
Day after day stretching into weeks and finally months of "we expect to exchange this week, tomorrow etc etc.....". 😤

Thanks for the reality check!
What is happening at this point though? Is it the solicitor writing the contract?

I guess in lots of cases it’s waiting for everyone in the chain to get everything done, but in this case there is hardly any chain?
