Bathroom Reno cost. How much should I expect to pay?

Has anyone had their bathroom done recently?was wondering how much to expect to pay. The cheapest quote I had was 4k that’s for tiling, ripping out everything , plumbing , electrician ect. Everything needs replacing including spotlights , extractor fan ect. Also we are moving the bath, shower and towel rail to a different position. I have started a wish list and it’s looking like it will cost another 4k for materials including tiles 😬

Does 8k seem reasonable for a smallish to medium size bathroom ? I’m very near London if that makes any difference.

If anyone has photos and tips of recent bathroom Reno . I would love to see them . Many thanks

We paid just over £10k 5+ years ago in the South East London commuter belt. that included ripping out out and replacing with a shower only. Mostly middle range replacement apart from the tiles which were porcelonosa. Did including our flooring which was done separately. I would say your quote was very reasonable. Our bathroom is a good size. Did not replace the bath.

NW London in Zone 2, I have paid shy of £10k for the bathroom in a flat. That is all including materials and labour, waste removal etc. Bathroom renovation finished 2 months ago but, planning and waiting time was like 3 months for me so, in total, 5-6months.

Materials came at £5.3k and the rest was labour. My labour for the fitter was £4.3k.

My tip would be source materials from merchants and individually then, find your own fitter if you know how to find one. If you are not comfortable and willing to pay little bit extra then, I would go for the Wickes or B&Q all inclusive. Bear in mind, they don't manage or guarantee the quality of fitter even though they promise when you make the payment.

We are paying just under £8k (VAT exempt price due to disability) for our tiny en suite to be made into mobility shower room, as I have Multiple Sclerosis, level access shower, shower seat, shower boards, new toilets comfort height, vanity basin, non slip flooring. Had various quotes, but went with the firm we liked the most & who we thought would do the best job.
