Stripping stair banister help

The previous owner had painted layers and layers on our stair banister. I’ve stripped the big bits easily but am now stuck on the smaller sections. I’ve tried a couple of tools but they started stripping the wood even with the most gentle attachments. Any top tips to finish these sections off?

Paint stripper , and a small tool to pick / scrape it off , lots of time and patience.

I read a vegetable peeler works!!

If you wrap an old cloth soaked in paint stripper and stick it on with masking tape, leave for a few hours?

We used Kling Strip on ours. It's evil stuff but got rid of all the paint in the nooks and crannies.
