Just after a little advice about what is normal. We accepted an offer on our house 9 weeks ago - a fair bit below what we wanted as the buyers are first time buyers, so thought it would be nice and easy, as we’re not actually purchasing out next property just yet.
about 3 weeks ago we asked our solicitors for an update and the buyers were about to commence searches.
Last week we had an email update from our estate agent saying the draft contracts had just been sent. So we asked our estate agents to chase up both solicitors to check what’s happening as we thought we would be further along by now. Yesterday the estate agents got back to us to say that the buyers solicitors had closed the file as they cannot get hold of the buyers.
later that day the estate agents managed to get hold of the buyers who said they still wanted the house, and would fill in some paper work soon as they had been busy working away.
So as far as I can tell nothing at all has been done in 9 weeks 😨we’re waiting for further updates today, but I’ve a really bad feeling about this. This isn’t normal is it? Tia.
