Those of you that have had DIY Kitchens, did you check it all on delivery? Did you have time? Is there any point? Ours is coming tonight between 7-10pm, and builder is installing tomorrow, so I figure he'll pick up any issues as he goes and I can log any problems for rectification tomorrow night? What have others done?

We used them last year. We had 28 days to check it all. We had one broken item which was quickly replaced. No major issues at all. Their customer service is fantastic in my experience.

Customer service fantastic any mistakes or damaged cupboards dealt with quickly. Would highly recommend.

Got mine delivered in March, only just been installed this week. Discovered I'm missing four pull-out larder drawers - even though I'm way outside of the checking time limit, they are sending them out to me. I also thought I had to return a unit which my builders told me was cracked, turns out it wasn't, but they didn't charge me for the replacement that they actually delivered and then had to take back. There customer service is excellent.

Builders checked ours when they started fitting it the week after delivery - it was all there, no problems at all. We had a major wobble about the quartz work surface once the main units were fitted (it was going to be way too dark), and they were really good about letting us get new samples and change it.

All in all, the experience and quality were so good, one of our builders has now ordered his own new kitchen from them instead of Howdens.

Thanks all. Builders are putting it in now and so far no problems, they are very impressed with it, surprised at how good it is compared to Howden's and for £5K cheaper too :-)

Customer services at DIY were great. I was missing an item of coving, they delivered it for free next day. Really good service and the kitchen still looks good as new a year on.

We checked as much as we could but there was so much of it that we couldn't do it all in the timescale. As they were so late delivering it, we couldn't fit it when we'd scheduled to.
We found no end of issues such as parts of other people's orders, missing parts, broken parts etc. They even damaged my front door when they delivered. Took forever to get it sorted out with them and they initially seemed receptive when we contacted them, but then didn't follow through with their promises. We live round the corner from their showroom and that's the only reason we managed to get it sorted out.

My dad had his kitchen delivered 2 weeks ago and he's had similar issues to us. He's already lost count of how many times he's been up to the showroom to sort it out.

My experience of them was great a few weeks ago. Delivered into my garage and I checked it all gradually over a week. They got the one part that was damaged replaced to me within the week. I'm fitting it myself very gradually and have been very impressed with the carcass rigidity so far
